With the Vapor Glove 6 BOA, minimalist footwear achieves maximum performance through an enhanced and secure fit thanks to a BOA lacing system. Merrell’s most barefoot shoe now feels even closer to actually being barefoot.

Breathable Mesh Upper

The upper is crafted from a breathable mesh for advanced breathability alongside synthetic overlays for enhanced durability and shielding on the trail. The breathable lining is constructed from 100% recycled mesh, allowing heat and vapour to escape for fresh-feeling feet. The combined materials provide outstanding moisture-wicking properties to prevent overheating or becoming uncomfortable from excessive sweat build-up. The bellows tongue and padded collar help keep out debris, whilst the BOA lacing system with meticulous adjustments secures the midfoot down to prevent in-shoe slippage. Ensuring ultimate comfort and providing a more adaptable fit, the BOA lacing system keeps feet secure, locked in and comfortable. Completing the upper is a Cleansport NXT treatment, which prevents the growth of odour-causing microbes, keeping the shoes feeling and smelling fresher for longer.

Barefoot 2 EVA Midsole

Merrell Barefoot 2 is designed to keep the foot in a natural position, with a zero drop, to encourage natural running form. Naturally, you would run on your toes rather than your heels, as most shoes encourage. By encouraging you up onto your toes, your speed will increase, and the risk of injuring your joints is reduced. EVA foam has been used for the midsole to ensure a light and durable ride. The midsole ensures ample underfoot cushioning to reduce the impact placed upon the feet on tough trails whilst remaining as lightweight as possible so you won’t feel weighed down. Finally, a 100% recycled mesh footbed cover works to keep feet cool whilst adding extra underfoot cushioning for the optimum experience.

Vibram Ecostep Outsole

The shoes feature a Vibram Ecostep outsole. It is made from 30% recycled rubber for an exciting combination of renewability and performance. It is robust and delivers great grip on wet and dry surfaces. The multi-directional lugs grip onto the ground below and tackle smooth, rough, wet and dry surfaces easily, so you can take your adventures to the next level.
