Nubuck Leather and Textile Upper

Made of nubuck leather sourced from European suppliers, the upper of the Alta II features high-quality materials for maximum comfort and enhanced durability and a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane that will keep feet dry in wet conditions. The durable nubuck leather is designed to protect your feet from debris and tricky terrain so you can continue with confidence and minimal distractions. This will offer complete protection from any bumps or knocks that you might pick up when out on the trails. Featuring on the upper of the Alta II is a reliable combination of a durable GORE-TEX membrane and breathable GORE-TEX lining. The durably waterproof membrane acts as a barrier to keep your feet feeling dry and comfortable when the weather turns and the breathable GORE-TEX lining will block the entry of all moisture whilst still allowing a constant flow of air to enter and exit through it. This will mean that your feet will have a temperature regulation that will keep you feeling fresh and comfortable at all times. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that allows you to secure your foot to reduce in-shoe slippage for a stable and confident hike.

This version of Hanwag’s Alta II GTX features their special Bunion Last to provide additional room around the big toe joint.

Foam Wedge Midsole

With a reinforced PU foam wedge in the midsole, the Alta II gives a smoother roll-off with noticeably better shock absorbency and longer-lasting comfort. This PU foam wedge ensures softer cushioning that works to protect your foot and joints as you strike down on unforgiving surfaces and tricky trails. The foam wedge absorbs shocks for even better protection and provides better roll-off for a midsole that allows you to hike faster for longer.
